Awesome Repositories is a curated directory of open-source GitHub repositories, organized by use case, technology and ecosystem in one tag tree. This connector lets Claude search it whenever you ask for a library, framework, CLI, SDK, self-hosted app or an open-source alternative to a product.
What Claude can do with it:
- Match your request to editor-curated search pages and their vetted tags.
- Search repositories by intent, filtered by taxonomy tags (for example a language plus a use case).
- Look up a repository you name (owner/repo, a GitHub URL or a bare name) and find its alternatives.
- Explore a tag's neighbourhood to pick the right category.
- Fetch a repository's full detail, including why each tag applies and the source excerpts behind it, so Claude can check every candidate before recommending it.
All 8 tools are read-only: the connector only reads the public directory and cannot change anything. Sign-in is OAuth with Google; there is no paid plan. Search text is not logged; it is sent to Voyage AI to compute the search, as described in the privacy policy.
