CookUp brings your saved music sessions into chat. Browse sessions, open a real timeline, inspect MIDI and play the saved arrangement without leaving the conversation. Ask ChatGPT to create a beat, revise a melody, change sounds or adjust a mix using CookUp’s session tools and musical context. Undo supported edits and compare saved versions. Connect your CookUp account to access your sessions. Playback reflects saved session data; refresh after changes on the website. Request a downloadable WAV or MP3 of saved arrangements up to ten minutes in chat. Sample a song: attach a track and CookUp finds its tempo, key and best loop, chops it into your library and builds a beat around it, keeping the song, artist and timestamps for a sample-clearance sheet. Built-in effects and routing are included; automation and external VSTs are excluded. Detailed manual MIDI editing and recording happen in the CookUp web studio. AI musical results should be reviewed and auditioned. Find CookUp users by username or exact email, send and accept friend requests, and send independent private session copies to accepted friends or session collaborators when requested.

Skills

  • choose-sounds

    Pick, swap or audition sounds in CookUp, such as a kick, snare, 808, hi-hats, keys, a synth preset or sounds from the user's own sample kits. For example "use my kit", "find a darker 808" or "try a different snare". Use whenever a part needs a sound chosen or replaced.

  • edit-a-session

    Change music in an existing CookUp session, such as a melody, drums, sounds, tempo, arrangement or mix, or undo or redo a change. For example "make the hi-hats busier", "replace the counter melody", "make it 64 bars" or "undo that". Use when the user refers to a session or the CookUp panel already in the chat.

  • export-audio

    Give the user a downloadable WAV or MP3 of a saved CookUp session, for example "export this as a WAV", "send me an MP3" or "bounce the beat". Use for finished audio files, not for listening to drafts while composing.
