Hjarni Notes & Memory

ChatGPT plugin

Your notes, your AI’s memory.

View in ChatGPT directory

Hjarni gives your AI a memory built from notes you control.

Save project decisions, preferences, research, and useful context in Markdown. Ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Codex to search what you’ve saved and bring relevant context into a later conversation. When you ask your assistant to remember something, it can create or update a note for future use.

Use the same saved context across chats and assistants. Organize notes with folders and tags, edit them yourself, and set folder instructions to guide how your assistant writes, formats, and tags notes. Share folders with your team so everyone’s assistant can work from the same knowledge.

Turn completed work into a reusable guide, or save a session summary to help you pick up where you left off.

Requires a Hjarni account and an authorized connection. Your assistant’s access follows the permissions of that connection.

Example prompts

  • “Help me create my first Hjarni note. Ask what I want to remember, then show me how to recall it in another chat.”
  • “Help me save my writing preferences in Hjarni. Ask me a few questions first.”
  • “Help me create a project brief in Hjarni. Ask me about the project first.”

Skills

  • hjarni-recall

Load relevant context from the user's Hjarni knowledge base. Use when the user asks to check notes, load context, consult Hjarni, or when a task names a known project, architecture, convention, runbook, or research area where saved context is likely to change the answer. Do not use for generic tasks with no project or domain signal.

  • hjarni-remember

Save decisions, findings, preferences, and conventions to the user's Hjarni knowledge base when they say remember this, save this, note this down, or add this to my notes. Updates an existing note when one covers the topic instead of creating a duplicate.

  • hjarni-runbook

Save a completed debugging, incident, or setup session as a reusable runbook note in the user's Hjarni knowledge base when they say make this a runbook, save this as a runbook, or document this fix so we can repeat it.

  • hjarni-session-log

Write a summary of the current work session to the user's Hjarni knowledge base when they say log this session, write up this session, or save a session note. Records what changed, why, dead ends hit, and open follow-ups.
