Black out names, numbers and any other text in a PDF without uploading it. Ask ChatGPT to redact a PDF and the KeptPDF panel opens. Pick a file from your computer, click the words or drag over the areas to hide, and save the redacted copy. The work happens on your own computer, so KeptPDF never receives your file and ChatGPT never reads it. The redaction is permanent: the hidden text is removed from the saved copy, not just covered. Scanned PDFs work too, using text recognition that runs on your computer. Saving needs the ChatGPT desktop app, Chrome or Edge.
