Lapka: Cat Training & Care

Lapka helps with life with a cat: teaching it, understanding it and looking after it.

Training: ask about a trick or a habit and get a step-by-step programme you can follow at home. Tricks: sit, down, high five, spin, sit up, stay, following a target, walking into the carrier. Everyday habits: scratching furniture, peeing outside the litter tray, waking you at night, meowing all day, jumping on counters, biting during play or when stroked, two cats who don't get along, a new cat, a scared or shy cat, an older cat.

Each step says what to do, what it looks like when it works, and what to try when it doesn't. Tick steps off as you go, and open a clicker with three sounds to practise right in the chat.

Behaviour, health and care: ask why your cat kneads or gets the zoomies, how much to feed it, why it isn't drinking or has bad breath, how to give a pill or bathe a cat that hates water, and you get a link to Lapka's guide on it.

Lapka informs and never diagnoses. If your cat seems unwell or in pain, see a vet.
