ThemeSniffer

ChatGPT plugin

WP theme and plugin detector

View in ChatGPT directory

Find out which WordPress theme and plugins any website uses, right from the conversation. ThemeSniffer checks whether a site runs WordPress, names the active theme (and the parent theme when a child theme is used), says whether it is free on WordPress.org, premium or custom, and flags outdated versions. It lists the plugins it can see, grouped into page builders, e-commerce, SEO, forms, caching and more, notes when the design comes from a page builder rather than the theme, and compares several sites side by side with hosting, CDN and a speed snapshot.

When a site blocks the check, ThemeSniffer says who blocked it instead of guessing. Only plugins that leave traces on a site's public pages can be detected; backend-only plugins stay invisible to any outside scanner.

No account or API key is needed. The website address you ask about is sent to themesniffer.com, which fetches that public page and returns what it detected.

Skills

  • detect-wordpress-plugins

List and categorize the WordPress plugins a website uses, including its page builder, SEO, caching, forms, e-commerce, membership or multilingual plugins. Use before calling ThemeSniffer's get_wordpress_tech_stack tool whenever the user asks which plugins or page builder a site uses, or wants to add the same features to their own site.

  • detect-wordpress-theme

Identify the WordPress theme a website uses, and read ThemeSniffer's check_if_wordpress / get_wordpress_tech_stack results correctly. Use before calling those tools whenever the user asks what theme a site runs, whether a site is built on WordPress, wants a site's look for their own site, or shares a URL and asks how it was built or designed.

  • wordpress-site-audit

Report a website's full WordPress stack - theme, page builder, plugins and hosting - or compare several sites. Use before calling ThemeSniffer's tools whenever the user asks for a site's theme and plugins together, what a site is built with, or how several sites compare (competitor research, client prospecting, migration or redesign scoping).
