NPI lookup for credentialing staff: check a provider roster using live registry data and download XLSX and CSV files.
Use bulk npi lookup to check up to 40 provider numbers with optional expected names, practice states and taxonomy codes. Invalid check digits are flagged locally. Review active status, provider or organization names, taxonomy codes, practice and mailing addresses, secondary locations and update dates. Name and state searches show up to 10 matches per search, with up to 10 searches per call.
The workbook separates providers, taxonomies, addresses and source information for npi verification for credentialing. Compare mismatches in the widget and download the roster for follow-up. Download links expire in about one hour.
Limits: CMS NPPES NPI Registry data is provider-reported enumeration data, not licensure, board certification, sanctions or payer enrolment. Deactivated numbers may appear as Not found. A check digit cannot prove issuance. Records can be cached for 24 hours and searches for 6 hours. Do not enter patient information.
