PartsPlan connects Claude to archived manufacturer datasheets for electronic components. Datasheet values come with the source document and page number, so engineers can check the original behind an answer.
Examples: a MOSFET gate threshold, a value read off a datasheet graph, a pinout, or whether a part is in stock right now.
It supports:
- Datasheet lookup by part number, with pages for ratings, pinouts, tables, graphs, package drawings and application circuits. Graph values are read as numbers only when the axes can be read with certainty; otherwise the page image is offered.
- BOM checks for manufacturer datasheet availability and readability in the archive, up to 100 lines per call.
- Comparison points and source pages for user-selected parts, without recommendations, scores or compatibility verdicts.
- Searches for candidate parts and for the manufacturer's reference designs and evaluation-board guides that print a part number.
- Live stock and price checks on request for up to three exact part numbers. Results show each distributor's reported price breaks, stock, lead time and lifecycle labels, with retrieval times and official product links where available. Currencies are not converted. PartsPlan does not store stock-query results.
Missing information is not estimated. PartsPlan does not validate circuits.
